Classes For Ages 10-12 Years...
Note: Class days & times listed at the bottom of the page.
Ballet: Ballet develops grace, flexibility, balance, alignment, and strength. Ballet combines the
enjoyment of movement, expression and sensitivity to music along with discipline. It is a basis
for all other dance styles. Pink ballet slippers, pink tights, black leotard (any style) and a neat
bun are required for all ballet classes. Black skirt or bike shorts optional.
Jazz: West Side Story paved the way for jazz. It has become an exciting adventure in dance
with tense, high-paced movement using today’s music. Jazz is a ballet-based style of dance
that emphasizes turns and leaps. Prior or current ballet training is strongly recommended.
Snug fitting dance wear, tights and black jazz shoes required. Hair must be worn back in a
tight ponytail or bun.
Hip Hop: These are some of the most popular classes in the school. Students will learn the
latest new dance moves. Hip Hop allows a student to move freely and funky. This class will
enhance a dancer’s energy and enthusiasm for dance and focuses on building the basics
including counting music, memorization of sequences and choreography and exploring rhythm
through the use of the body. Tank or t-shirt (any color), any color workout shorts or pants (no
jeans), and black dance sneakers required. Hair must be back.
Contemporary: Contemporary dance is a style of theatrical dance that favors movement
deriving from the expression of inner feeling. Dancers love the movement and emotional
freedom it provides. Plus, it is just a lot of fun! Any color leotard, tights, and bike shorts
required. Hair back. Jazz shoes or contemporary shoes in tan are required.
Acting/Drama Class: Beginning-intermediate level stage acting technique is learned through
exercises, improvisation, theater games, monologues and dialogue...Then put to practical use
by rehearsing scenes from plays. Acting class is an essential benefit to the performance level
of dancers and singers as well as young actors. Students should dress comfortably for class.
Shoes not allowed in the dance rooms.
Musical Theater Production: Alice In Wonderland: Join Alice's madcap adventures in
Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the
Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own
game! Open to students ages 6-15 years. No experience needed. Fees: $60 performance fee
(includes costume, group picture & 2 tickets to the performance), plus monthly tuition of
$99/mo February-June. Rehearsals begin February 11th
Private Voice Lessons: Our voice lessons are all private on-one-one instruction. Just a
sample of what a student will learn in singing lessons includes how to breathe properly, how to
increase their range, proper pitch, how to project and stage presence. Private lessons are
schedule on a day and time that work for you.Please call the front desk at 254-1962 Monday-
Friday 3:30-7:00 to schedule a time for your lessons.
Private Piano Lessons: Our school offers piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities
from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of piano lessons from classical
to jazz and pop. We start piano lessons from age 5 onwards. Our piano lessons are all private
one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes each week. Lessons can be
scheduled on a day and time that fit your schedule. Please call the front desk at 254-1962
